Hibbitt Rebounds in Jr. Honda Feature
In last weekend's Mid-West Thunder race held at the Miami Valley QM track, Kamden showed great speed only to finish 4th in his Jr. Honda heat race. This put Kamden behind the 8-ball, starting 6th in the "B" Main. Kamden quickly shot to the front, took the lead and didn't look back, winning the "B" and securing a 7th place starting position for the Jr. Honda "A" Main. Once in the "A", Kamden showed great speed and once again moved towards the front of the field. A mid-race incident took him to the back of the field. Showing some anger, Kamden became very aggressive and moved through the field and was able to run with the leaders at the end of the race. That forward momentum stalled in 3rd place where he was able to finish. This was Kamden's 3rd straight podium finish in Jr. Honda races at the regional level. Overall, it was a long but rewarding day for HMS.
Unfortunately, Sunday's race was cancelled due to the threat of rain.
Kamden's upcoming schedule includes a weekend full of BQMRA club races (June 23-25), Mini Indy Midwest Thunder in Indianapolis, IN (July 1-2) then the highly anticipated return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the USAC Battle at the Brickyard National (July 5-9). It's going to be an action packed month of racing for @teamhibbitt. We hope to see you at the track.
